BAKE HOUSE

Three BED, two BATH, SPACIOUS AND SUN-FILLED FORMER Bakery

Built in the 17th century, Bake House was its name suggests originally a bakery. Converted into a cottage, Bake House combines traditional features with bright, modern styling. This charming property centres around a comfortable sitting room with a wood burning stove, 55" smart TV, large sofas and cosy reading nooks either side of a chimney.

A stylish, dual aspect kitchen/diner is well-equipped and comfortably seats 10 people. The first-floor has under-floor heating and comprises three bedrooms: one super-king with an en-suite bathroom, and two double bedrooms with a shared bathroom. Both bathrooms are well appointed, including over-bath, high-pressure rain showers.

A lawned front garden with flower borders has a picnic bench and barbecue for alfresco dining. Guests have the opportunity to explore the surrounding grounds with walks across the fields to the nearby river and bookable access to the tennis court.

“We have had a really lovely break, a great way to start the New Year! The cottage is really exceptional, and has everything you might need over a weekend. Fully recommend this cottage and hope to be back. Thank you.”

The P Family, Wimbledon

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bake House Cottage. The cottage itself was immaculate, with beautiful touches and everything thought of. The kids loved exploring the estate, especially the walk across the bridge / over the river. They were lucky enough to play with the dogs (Bruno and Flo) and make use of the tennis court. We thought the buildings and land so beautiful and enjoyed sunrise and sunset! There is just so much to explore in the area - Sherborne is a must - so pretty with its quaint shops and amazing Abbey. A lovely break, thank you to our hosts.”

The T Family, Hampstead

“Stayed as a party of 10 across Bake House & Brew House, giving plenty of space for the three generations to spread out and enjoy the beautiful cottages and surrounding estate. Loved exploring - Orchard Island, disused waterwheel and tunnels, and fields. Enjoyed a competitive tennis tournament organised by the children, and one intrepid night-walk, spotting plenty of bats and a single slow-worm. Thanks for a most hospitable stay in the very comfortable and well appointed cottages - particularly appreciated the well chosen + generous welcome pack - thank you!”
